Forza Horizon 4 Honest Review (2021)

As a participant in the previous series, Forza Horizon 4 revolves around the fictional Horizon Festival, a noisy and youthful racing competition focused on youth. Lastly, he played as the organizer of the Horizon Festival in Land Down Under; in this case, he lives the life of Horizon by playing in various festival-related activities in the United Kingdom. The change of location helps a variety of weather shows and features a new feature of Forza Horizon 4, the changing season effects.

When you first unlock Forza Horizon 4, the game offers you a tutorial that gives you a taste of the various weather conditions. Spring is green and green, summer is full of sunshine, autumn has beautifully colored leaves, and winter brings snowy conditions.

Seasonal changes are more than just the use of new images; they make the world feel more alive than any previous Forza game. For Forza Horizon 3 ($ 19.99 on Steam), winter slopes have been added as DLC representing a single mountainous region. In Forza Horizon 4 the entire track is affected by rising and low temperatures.

For example, a beautiful lake that you pass through in the spring, summer, and autumn may freeze in winter, allowing you to drive over it like any other trail. Similarly, spring rains scamper mud, making corners difficult. The seasons change every Thursday, so you don’t get stuck in one too long. In addition, flexible weather means you can start the game under the sunny sky and see the rain before you cross the finish line. At first, I joked about the results of the season as another talking point for the E3 conference, but when you look at the size of the Forza Horizon 4 and how each road is affected by the changes, the feature is quite surprising.

Racing Game

You open the seasons by gaining Influence, in gaming currencies. Other Credits-centric Credits. The XP-like influence is gained by running races, finding cars, and successfully completing challenges. In fact, the influence, along with the new My Horizon Life campaigns and new customization features, makes the runner more dependent on RPG elements than ever before.

While Forza Horizon 3 is focused on expanding the festival, Forza Horizon 4 is a personal matter. You are now making progress in the game by exploring more than 25 episodes of My Horizon Life story. Each of these represents a different way to spend time in the game world, including street racing, Drifting, and Stunt Driving. Everything you do in these career campaigns is gaining traction, be it nail-biting, photography, or creating unique car decor or Blueprint racing challenges. Best of all, you are not locked out of the My Horizon Life campaign; you can jump different at any time.

In Forza Horizon 3, you create an avatar using a random character model, name, and nickname, but in this case, you can customize your character with gear and emotions as you progress through the game. Granted, you still spend most of your game time in the car. Need for Speed: Run is not this, but making it your own can add fun moments to multiplayer modes where you get to see your character celebrate after winning.

Your character is also visible when you interact with NPCs or enter the house. For Forza Horizon 4, you can buy houses — hobbies that serve as the working basis for your avatar. Each offers different bonuses, such as cars, quick travel options, and customization gear. Housing is not cheap, it starts at about 200,000 credits and goes into millions. Like Croft Manor in Shadow of the Tomb Raider ($ 19.99 on Steam), there is not much you can do there; especially going fast and fixing your character and cars.

On an unpleasant note, Forza Horizon 4 also has one of the worst product placements I’ve ever seen in the game. You can gain influence by broadcasting (or watching other streams) using Mixer, a competitor of Microsoft Twitch. People who broadcast Forza Horizon 4 in Mixer get Influence every 2 minutes, with a bonus added to the larger audience — a great combination of high-profile broadcasters like Ninja. In a nutshell, Mixer integration is a unique and real-world combination designed solely to enhance Microsoft’s footing in the gaming industry. It’s more than just taking a chance (but not unexpected).

Multiplayer and Singleplayer

Forza Horizon 4 is an offline game like online, but, thankfully, PlayGround Games does not force you to play with strangers. Like Forza Horizon 3, this game uses Drivatars, AI-based competitors based on the driving data of people on your Xbox friends list, to fill your game world when you play alone.
Your Drivatar does the same when it enters the world of your friends’ game. You can also interact with the Drivatars by rolling up, blowing your horn, and making a Convoy. With the right skill benefits, cars in your Convoy can help you accumulate influence at a faster price or earn Barn Finds.

Barn Finds is a rare vehicle that you find in stores scattered throughout the area. Some repositories are easily identifiable, while others require real-time testing. Several Barn Finds are only available at certain times of the year, so you are encouraged to revisit the landscape as temperatures change.

Many online players are very strong on this. In fact, Playground Games has made Forza Horizon 4 a harmonious world, one where you can challenge up to 72 other players on your server if you are in Free Navigation mode. Thankfully, all non-human competitors on your Xbox friends list have ghosts to prevent misery.

New to the series of #ForzathonLive online events that connect you with others in a session to work on a team-based activity, such as roaming the Drift Zone or relaxing Danger Jumps.

Cars Crush

If you like a name-calling ride, you’ll tap into your favorite gaming keyboard, gamepad, or race wheel. Forza Horizon 4 contains more than 450 licensed vehicles for running, collecting, and repairing, making Forza Horizon 3 the best with almost 100 vehicles. It includes cars from reputable manufacturers such as Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ford, Lamborghini, and Mercedes-Benz.

The problem is that these licensed vehicles also mean that Forza Horizon 4 will disappear from the digital market in a few years when car licenses expire, such as the original Forza Horizon and Forza Horizon 2. licensed race-resistant racing, such as Burnout Paradise and Split / Second ($ 19.99 at Steam). Anyway, the 1988 Lamborghini Countach I just won in Forza Horizon 4 is fantastic.

Naturally, you can’t blow up cars too much when you get into fender benders or plow on rocky roads (Forza games work like manufacturer shows, after all), so don’t expect Burnout Paradise levels. You can get new cars with the Barn Finds mentioned above, by purchasing them at the Forza store using Credits, or by playing Wheelspin. Wheelspin is a lucky game you play as you reach certain milestones of progress. They reward you with cars, Credits, and custom-made accessories.

As expected, the Forza Horizon 4 cars look and sound very good. Both dirty gearheads and casuals will get kicked out of racing outdoor and conventional cars. With that said, you can upgrade cars in your virtual garage by purchasing designs created by the Forza community using in-game Credits, changing the colors of each component, or digging with a built-in editing tool to create your own designs. You can choose to create cars that look as cool or beautiful as you want. Few things are as exciting as seeing a $ 100,000 car roam the road with a large Pokeball painted next to it.
